Alyssa + Paul {Engaged!}
Federal Way, WA Engagement Photography

Alyssa and Paul responded to my casting call looking for an engaged couple to model for our winter stylized bridal photo shoot. As the weeks go by, I got to talk to them and got to know them as a couple, and  I knew I just had to give them a mini engagement shoot as a thank you for being such a wonderful couple!

I loved the connection between them and how much in love they were with each other. Thank you for being our models and you know where to find us if you need a wedding photographer! *wink wink nudge nudge* ;)

Winter Inspired Styled Shoot in the Pacific Northwest

Living in the Seattle area, we all know that summer is the time to have a wedding. We have mild temperatures and beautiful blue skies while the rest of the year is a bit gray and wet. However, I wanted to show that a winter wedding in the Pacific Northwest could be just as beautiful as a summer wedding.

We decided to choose a real life couple as our models. Alyssa and Paul just recently got engaged and were planning on having their wedding in 2016. The signed up for our casting call and I just loved the connection between them!

For the flowers, we wanted something you don’t see very often; A winter bouquet with pine cones, but not the usual ones we see on the ground, something unique and exceptional. Lana from Seattle Floral Design provided a bouquet, boutonniere, and hair piece that were absolutely beautiful.

Adore Bridal Boutique stepped in with a La Sposa Lasarte dress that fit perfectly into the timeless elegance with a modern twist. Last but not least Sarah, the hair & makeup artist completed the vision we had in our minds.

We wanted the color tone to be gold and dark brown with a touch of deep red against the white snow. Liz from Stone Layne Baked Specialties offered to make a fabulous dessert table featuring the items that complemented the color tones.

Thank you again for all the vendors for participating and making my winter inspired bridal photo shoot vision come true. This has been an exceptional experience for us as wedding photographers, and such a pleasure to work with all of you. Thank you to Alyssa & Paul for bracing the elements and being such great models. We are so honored to have you participate in this project!

Phil + Tera {Married!}
Marysville, WA Wedding Photographer

When Tera first contacted me to photograph her wedding, I was so excited to find out that she was one of my friend's co-worker, and even more ecstatic to hear that she is pregnant. We quickly move things forward and before I knew it, it was already September 27th. I am still amazed that she organized a wedding in 6 weeks, and such a beautiful one at that too!

Tera did all of the flowers for her wedding by herself with the help of her Bridesmaids. All of it. Yes; the boutonniere, bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, reception flower, ceremony decorations, you name it. I told you she is amazing!

...and there is nothing more fun than to have your sister put your shoes on for you :)

Meanwhile, the dudes are getting ready too in the adjacent room. As expected, things were not as serene as it was at the bridal prep room. We saw a lot of goofing off and the boys were there too!

Oh, and I am soooooooo glad Phil and Tera decided to have a First Look prior to the ceremony. I have always loved First Look because it gives the Bride and Groom some intimate private moments just for the two of them before the flow of the day takes over.

Did anybody notice the color theme? Both Justin and I did not realize this until I started going through the pictured while editing them. It's the color for our Seahawks team!

First Dance is always going to be one of my favorite moments to photograph. I love seeing the emotions on the Bride and Groom's faces, the way they touch and look at each other. Happy sigh.

 DJ lights are on, and we are ready to party!

Phil & Tera, I have to say a special thank you for setting aside so much time for us to photograph you both on one of the happiest days of your lives. I love love love night time photographs and I am so happy to be able to do this for you.

Thank you again, Phil & Tera for trusting us to photograph your beautiful wedding. Here is to many, many happy years...... and a baby girl!!
